Instructions
  1. In a large pot, wash and drain the rice. Add brown sugar, coconut milk, and water then stir.
  2. Bring to a boil then simmer. Stir and cook until all liquids are absorbed.
  3. In a separate pan, combine the coconut milk and brown sugar. Cook until the liquid thickens and caramelized.
  4. Transfer the rice into the baking pan. Pour the latik syrup on top of the rice, spread evenly. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 25 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven when it is done. Let it cool down before serving.
