Chicken Adobo
Ingredients
- 3 lbs chicken whole
- 4 tbsp vinegar
- 6 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp sugar
- 5 cloves garlic crushed
- 4 tbsp cooking oil
- 1 cup water
- 3 pcs bay leaves dried
Instructions
- Combine the chicken, vinegar, soy sauce, salt, pepper, sugar, and garlic in a large mixing bowl. Cover and marinate the chicken for 1 hour.
- In a saucepan, heat cooking oil. Fry the chicken over medium heat until the edges turn golden brown.
- Pour in the remaining marinade into the saucepan, add water, and bay leaves. Put the lid and bring the chicken to a boil for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid. Cook for 20 minutes using high heat. Stir occasionally until the sauce is reduced and thickened.
