Fried Chicken
Ingredients
Main
- 2 lbs chicken drumsticks
- 2 cups vegetable oil
Marinade mixture
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream grade A ultra-pasteurized
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 pc small lime you can use calamansi as a substitute
Breading mixture
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup corn starch
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp ground black pepper
Instructions
- Put marinade mixture ingredients in a small bowl then stir thoroughly.
- Once completed, put chicken drumsticks and marinade mixture in a ziploc bag. Shake the bag for at least 1 minute to combine meat and mixture. Refrigerate and marinate overnight.
- In a separate ziploc bag, put breading mixture then shake to combine all breading ingredients. Add marinated chicken drumsticks inside the bag then shake it until the chicken drumsticks are covered with breading mix.
- Warm casserole using medium heat then add cooking oil.
- Wait until the oil temperature reaches 350 degrees before putting the chicken drumsticks from the ziploc bag.
- Fry chicken until golden brown. Turn chicken every 10 minutes.
- Serve with rice and gravy.
