Mozzarella Sticks
Ingredients
- 1 lb mozzarella cheese cut into strips
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp water
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups vegetable oil
Instructions
- Cut the mozzarella cheese into strips.
- Beat the eggs and water together.
- Dredge the stick with flour, then dip in egg and then roll it into bread crumbs.
- Dredge the stick in egg and bread crumbs again.
- Freeze for 6 to 12 hours before frying.
- Heat oil in medium skillet over medium heat. Cook 4 sticks at a time for about 2 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove sticks from heat and drain on paper towels.
- Serve with sauce for dipping if desired.
