Beef BBQ on Bamboo Stick
Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 2 lbs beef chopped
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 can 7 up
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 small lemon
Basting Sauce
- 1 bottle banana ketchup 12 oz (340g)
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Combine beef, soy sauce, 7 up, brown sugar, garlic powder, ground black pepper, and lemon juice in a large bowl. Mix these ingredients thoroughly.
- Marinate beef for at least 1 hour or longer, overnight is fine.
- Skewer beef on a bamboo stick.
- Make basting sauce by combining banana ketchup, rice vinegar, and olive oil on a separate bowl.
- Preheat the grill for 5 minutes using medium high heat.
- Put beef on the grill. Flip every 3 minutes and baste barbecue sauce occasionally to keep the beef moist.
- Barbecue is ready when beef starts to sizzle and the sauce has caramelized.
