Chicken Tinola

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken (2.5 lbs), chopped, remove unwanted fat & skin
  • 4 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 small pieces chayote (sayote), chopped
  • 1 piece ginger, sliced
  • 5 heads bok choy, cleaned & trimmed
  • 0.88 oz (25 g) Mama Sita's Tinola Ginger Soup Base Mix

Step-by-Step Directions

  1. Preheat cooking pan for 2 minutes using medium heat.
  2. Put olive oil, wait for 1 minute then;
  3. Add crushed garlic, cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add sliced ginger, cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Add chicken, cook for 15 minutes, stir occasionally.
  6. Add water then cover, cook for 35 minutes.
  7. Add chayote, cover, and cook for 5 minutes.
  8. Add tinola mix then cover for 2 minutes.
  9. Add bok choy, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes.
  10. Serve hot.
