Sweet & Spicy Dilis
Sweet and spicy dilis is a Filipino fried snack. It consists of small anchovies deep fried with banana ketchup, sugar, and cayenne pepper powder. This delicious and unique snack, sweet and spicy dilis, is sure to please everyone who tries it!

1 lb dried fish anchovy (dilis) 2 cups cooking oil 1 bottle banana ketchup net wt 12 oz (340g) 2 tbsp sugar 1 tsp cayenne pepper powder
Remove excess salt from dried Dilis by rinsing it twice or more with fresh water.
Preheat oil in a deep pan on a medium heat.
Add dilis and fry for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Drain oil and set aside.
On a separate pan, heat up the banana ketchup then add fried dilis. Mix well to evenly coat dilis with the sauce. Fry for 5 minutes.
Add sugar and cayenne pepper. Stir and fry for another 5 minutes or until sugar has caramelized.
