Beef and Broccoli Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb beef flank steak
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 4 cups broccoli floret
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 4 tbsp water
  • sesame seeds as desired

Instructions
 

  • In an oiled pan over medium heat, fry chopped beef for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Once cooked, remove from the pan.
  • Add more oil, then put garlic and ground ginger. Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add the soy sauce, brown sugar, and beef broth then stir.
  • Add the broccoli florets, cook for 5 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, combine cornstarch and water then pour into the pan. Cook until sauce has thickened.
  • Add the beef back into the pan, simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Ready to serve. Top with sesame seeds, if desired.
