Ingredients

  • 3 lbs chicken whole
  • 4 tbsp vinegar
  • 6 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 5 cloves garlic crushed
  • 4 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 pcs bay leaves dried

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken, vinegar, soy sauce, salt, pepper, sugar, and garlic. Let the chicken marinate for 1 hour with the mixture.
  • Next, heat cooking oil in a saucepan. Fry the chicken over medium heat until the edges turn golden brown.
  • Now it's time to add some flavor. Pour in the remaining marinade into the saucepan, along with water and bay leaves. Cover the pan and bring it to a boil for 30 minutes.
  • Once done, remove the lid and turn up the heat. Cook for an additional 20 minutes on high heat while stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens and reduces.
  • Enjoy your mouthwatering chicken dish!
